While you point out that the Nobel committee drank Obama's KoolAid by awarding him the peace prize, you miss the point in my opinion. It is not HIS KoolAid, it is his being so totally different from Bush that was the deciding factor. Europe had a serious issue with Bush but have a love relationship with Obama. The sense of relief that Obama is not going to cause the world to blow up got them a little emotional about need to recognize the current president. But I am sure worse things have happened during the years of the prize. He should NOT have turned it down whatever some people think. I think this will serve as a reminder to him that he must continue the cause for peace...what a wonderful inspiration to him..an accountability talisman...a heavy responsibility and one for us all.
